With expert-led teaching, students will refine their comprehension, writing, and exam techniques, ensuring they approach their exams with confidence and skill. Comprehension – Developing the joy of English! Reading a range of texts (poetry, fiction and non-fiction) and encouraging intonation and understanding. Students will develop comprehension strategies through text analysis, annotation skills, and question interpretation, learning to structure answers using the PETA method (Point, Evidence, Technique, Analysis). The course covers prose, poetry, and multiple-choice papers, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of 11+ exam requirements. Creative Writing Skills. Writing is a key focus, with students mastering creative and personal response styles using a structured, examiner-approved method. Many of our students have received letters of commendation from top London schools, recognising their writing excellence. With additional emphasis on vocabulary expansion, punctuation, grammar, and stress management techniques, this course not only builds strong academic skills but also fosters resilience and a growth mindset, ensuring students perform at their best under exam conditions.
