Our Monthly Group Poetry Club is specially designed for bright, inquisitive students in Years 5, 6, 7 and 8.
WHY CHOOSE POETRY?

WHAT DOES THE POETRY CLUB OFFER?
1-Hour Monthly Sessions
Delivered via secure Zoom on the last Thursday of every month, these sessions combine academic rigour with creative exploration, providing the perfect balance for students eager to excel.
What We’ll Do Together:

Poetry Analysis: Explore a range of poets and themes, from classics to contemporary voices, and discover how to approach and understand poetry with confidence.

Literary and Poetic Techniques: Master key techniques, building strong foundations for GCSE and beyond.

Creative Writing: Students will have the opportunity to craft their own poems, discovering their unique voice and style.
Poetry Hall of Fame
Every student will have the chance to showcase their creativity in our Poetry Hall of Fame, a celebratory space where their work is shared, recognised, and celebrated. This builds confidence and allows students to feel proud of their achievements.
Newsletter
We believe education extends beyond the classroom. Parents will receive a termly Poetry Newsletter, featuring session highlights, student achievements, and creative prompts to encourage family discussions and activities at home.
